Welcome to the Social Sciences Department at Michigan Tech. We are an interdisciplinary unit of faculty committed to high-quality undergraduate instruction across the social sciences, with strengths in history, archeology and anthropology, environmental policy and regulation. Undergraduate degrees include options in social sciences, history, anthropology and archaeology, pre-law and secondary education in social studies. Graduate programs include Masters of Science in Environmental Policy, Masters of Science in Industrial Archaeology, PhD program in Environmental and Energy Policy, and a PhD program in Industrial Heritage and Archeology.
